We left a little after 8:00 this morning and rode through a beautiful mountain/valley area as we left Bozeman. Looks like it would be a great place to spend an entire vacation! We rode through the Lewis & Clarke National Forest and the Black Feet Indian Reservation. We made our way to West Glacier National Park. Toward the end of the day Jim's bike became sluggish and the check engine and check battery lights came on. When he mentioned this to me over our blue tooth headsets, I looked back and noticed that his head lights were dim. We kept traveling along but eventually his motorcycle completely shut down. We all pulled off to the side and Scott and Raymond went to get another battery at the Harley dealership nearby. The battery helped us to make it to our hotel, but we think that the alternator has gone bad so we have an appointment at the Harley Dealership Tuesday morning [they are closed tomorrow]. We are staying at White Fish, Montana "the gateway to glacier", for the next couple of nights. My Dad has been traveling the last couple of weeks and is staying in White Fish in his "baby" motorhome at a nearby campground. We plan to meet up with him in the morning to begin seeing the sights in the area.
