Sturgis Motorcycle Rally

We left this morning to go to the motorcycle rally in the rain. We suited up in our rain gear, preparing in case the rain continued. Just as it has done on previous days, the rain soon stopped and eventually the skies cleared up. We started off the day by going to the Rapid City Harley Davidson. Along with seeing the dealership, we walked through the vendors that were lined up outside. We bought this very cool, tiny video camera that can be put on our helmet or our windshield, taking a video as we travel along. Now if we can just figure out how it works! Jim looked at and considered getting a new seat for his bike. We then got back on the bikes [I decided to take the day "off" from riding and got on with Jim] and headed to Sturis where we walked through some of the many, many vendors there. Before leaving Sturgis, Jim decided to get his new seat for his motorcycle. They installed the seat and let him try it out for a few minutes to make sure that he liked it. They even promised to ship his old seat home! On the way back to our hotel room, Jim and I stopped by a local health food store and then went to a grocery store so that I could get some carrots & hummus. I also got some spinach and tomatoes to make a salad for dinner. Jim, Scott & Raymond went out for a quick bite at Subway [the rain finally hit tonight so they needed to get something quick]. Hope the weather clears overnight so that we can have some fun rides tomorrow!
