Sunset Hummer Tour

After we got back from CanyonLands, (as if we hadn't had enough adventure for the day), we went on a sunset hummer tour with High Point Hummer & ATV Tours in Moab, Utah.

We booked the tour in the morning before heading out for CanyonLands NP. We thought nothing could top the spectacular "off road" adventure that we had already experienced that day. Our guide proved us wrong. :)

The next day we headed towards Lake Tahoe, on "the loneliest road in America".

Island in the Sky at CanyonLands National Park

This was an amazing day. As a matter of fact, I would have to count this as being in the top 5, most fun, most scenic, of all of our trips. We started the day entering CanyonLands National Park, in the Islands in the Sky district. We were headed to the White Rim Road which, according to an article I saw on Facebook, it is  one of the '35 Most Amazing Roads In The World You Should Drive In Your Lifetime' (thanks Damon Folmar for posting). The article is correct, it is an amazing place with truly incredible views. The White Rim Road is a dirt road best suited for 4 wheel drive and/or  all terrain vehicles.  To get to the White Rim Road, you have to climb down a steep, winding pathway.

Yep, we rode down there (in the truck, not on the bikes). Once we made it into the canyon, the views were remarkable.

On our way down . . .
