Scott on a Harley?

We planned to leave at 7 a.m. this morning but decided to wait to let what was reported to be a severe band of weather pass by. Although it was still raining, the severe weather had passed by 8:00 a.m. when we finally left. We expected to be in the rain for a few hours but were thankful when the rain stop after only about an hour. The skies cleared up around 10:00 or so and we had beautiful blue skies and sunny weather the rest of the day. It was awesome riding weather. . . .clear skies, sunny but not hot. The temperature stayed in the 80's much of the day but moved into the low 90's for a couple of hours. Any way you slice it . . . a great day for riding!

Throughout the day we travevled from Missouri to Kansas and then into Nebraska. For part of the day, we traveled along the old pony express route. Seemed fitting, since we were on our "iron horses". We stopped by the Harley dealership in Lincoln, Nebraska. Scott finally found a Harley that he said he wouldn't mind having in his corral [garage]. We never thought we would get a picture of Scott on a Harley! We stopped at the Hampton Inn at Norfolk, Nebraska [the holiday inn express was out of roomsin this busy little town]. We plan to start our day tomorrow at 6:30 a.m. We are trying to make it for an afternoon ride through the Badlands National Park before getting to our destination at Rapid City for the Sturgis Rally.
