Candy needed brake work done on her bike, so we stopped by the Colorado Springs Harley dealership. Originally we had hoped to take the bikes up to Pikes Peak and Candy thought brakes might be essential for that trek. The snow/ice on the roads up to Pikes Peak caused a change of plans so we just took the train up.
And the trailer needed tires so we stopped by the tire shop and waited just a bit while their highly energetic and motivated crew changed them out.
Then we headed to Seven Falls
Sunday morning we watched church online and I did my workout in the room. Jim's been walking every morning, so I decided I needed to get started on my regular travel exercise program!
Later in the day we went to the top of Pikes Peak (14,115 ft) on The Cog Railroad. Snowing in August! #cold
This is the stop for the cog train! 😳
On our way back to the hotel we stopped in at 'Heavenly Squeeze' for a freshly made juice. 😇
On Monday morning I decided to join Jim on his morning walk. When we got to the top of the hill we saw that more snow had fallen overnight on Pikes Peak. What a beautiful view!!!
Focus on the Famly was just a short walk up the hill from where we were staying. Before leaving town, a few of us went to see the FOTF Welcome Center and gift store. They also had a very cool 'Adventures in Odyssey' kids area downstairs.
We got to ride down in the Imagination Station
And dress up as the Adventures in Odyssey characters!
And put on their own radio show
